Successfully connecting at St. John is defined by how effectively we connect you to a small group or to a ministry serve opportunity.
At St. John, we have found that the small group is the best place for sustained life change to occur. People gather to study God’s word, discuss the issues and challenges of life, and build friendships that help to turn a large church into a place filled with people enjoying healthy relationships.
Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the staff of St. John to personally minister to everyone who attends. That’s why we place such a high value on small group involvement or ministry serve opportunities.
To find out more about groups – we encourage you to contact Grace Hughey at or (636) 779-2302. Or, ask a friend – they might already be in a group and would love to have you join.

Be a small group leader!
Small groups are an integral part of what we do as a church. Small groups provide people with the opportunity to connect with others, grow in their relationship with God, and have a great time creating strong friendships.
The small group lead plays a crucial part in this process – and understand and commit to the value of creating open and friendly environments for spiritual growth to occur.
Since our small group leaders play such a significant role in this process – we want to create an environment for small group leaders to succeed. We do this by first getting to know you – understanding your own spiritual walk and what goals you have for leading a small group. Then we provide some initial upfront training and commit to supporting you as you build your small group.
Periodic growth events are planned so that those who lead small groups have the opportunity to connect with other leaders and continue their own spiritual training.
